Dear Horses,
The Quiet Magic of Your Presence
For as long as I can remember, you have been part of my life, and I have always known there was something extraordinary about you. There is a quiet magic in your presence—the way time slows, and the world falls away, leaving only your steady breath and soft coat beneath my hand. In those moments, I remember what it means to simply be.
You have taught me patience, stillness, and the value of compassion. You reflect my restlessness, grounding me in the present. When I listen, you show me that true connection is built on trust, not force. Your strength lies in your gentleness, and your loyalty humbles me.
Lessons in Patience, Trust, and Compassion
You ask for so little yet give so much. When I feel overwhelmed or uncertain, you meet me exactly where I am. In your company, I find healing. You remind me that I am enough, just as I am. I hope I can offer you even a fraction of the peace and trust you give me.
I think of all the horses I’ve met, each unique, with your own stories and wisdom. Some bold and curious, others shy and scarred. Each of you has opened your heart and left me better for it. I carry you all with me.
Honoring and Advocating for Our Equine Partners
Thank you for the open fields, the quiet nuzzles, and the forgiveness of my mistakes. Thank you for trusting me.
I promise to honor your boundaries and stand as your advocate. You deserve to be seen as partners and friends, not as tools or trophies.
I love you, deeply and endlessly.
With gratitude and reverence, Sue
