“I appreciate you more because of the road I’ve traveled. My story brought me to you and I wouldn’t revise a word of my past if it led me anywhere but to your door.” Aaron Polson
Conflict. Drama. People. What has created the road that you’ve travelled? Who has travelled that path with you? Who have you met along the way? Who is still by your side?
One of my most popular Facebook posts this month was a shout out to those who have helped you. If we’re lucky, the list seems endless. If we’re struggling, it often feels as though there’s just one lifeline that we’re clinging on to.
I’m grateful every day for so many things. I am especially grateful to those who have helped me to become the person that I am, and to those who support and guide me today.
There are many challenges to be overcome as we move through life, and having family and friends to hold our hand when we stumble can make all the difference.
Today, how about taking a moment to give thanks for someone who is (metaphorically, rather than literally!) holding your hand right now, or someone who has done so in the past. Take a moment to think whose hand you could hold. Because it’s a big world, and we’re all connected. We can be there for each other. We can help each other through.
Today, I’m sending you love, and strength, and peace. I hope you can feel it. And that, in some small way, it helps.
