This phrase resonated with me, and I’m sharing it in case it’s what you needed to hear today. I have an analytical mind, and sometimes I find myself going over and over something to try and understand what happened, how, and why. Then I analyse why I’m trying to understand, and what that understanding will give me. Sometimes the analysing is painful, for whatever reason, and so I wonder why I’m putting myself through the trauma and upset. Perhaps the answer is, as J K Rowling says, that ‘Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery’.

On a lighter note, if you’re a Harry Potter fan, did you know that you can turn the torch on on your phone by saying the spell ‘Lumos’ to Siri or Google (depending on your phone), and you can turn it off again by saying ‘Nox’?!
