This was the month that Max and I had been looking forward to massively. At last his rehab allowed us to trot. We were up to 45 minutes of walking every other day and you really can’t get very far in 45 minutes at walk. The routes were all looking very familiar and boring.
Max had been dying to trot so at last I let him. We shot up the road at 100mph in medium trot and it felt awesome. I tried to bring it back but Max was enjoying himself and it was hard work. My riding fitness had declined with all the walking and trying to find my core was like trying to find a marble in a rice pudding. My arms and fingers were at full stretch and it hurt! We have to get fit together.
